How does the LumaPod work?

It sends 42,000 Hz ultrasound through the water in its stainless steel tank. That makes millions of microscopic bubbles, which lift debris, plaque and stains off every surface of your appliance without brushing.

What can I clean in it?

All types of clear aligners, retainers (including those with metal), mouth guards, night guards, dentures, sleep apnea devices, toothbrush heads and more.

How long does a cycle take?

A standard cycle is 5 minutes. Fill the tank with water, place your appliance inside, turn it on and wait for the cycle to finish. For a heavily soiled appliance, run it again.

Do I need the DeepClean Tablets?

The LumaPod cleans with water alone. For best results, drop one DeepClean Tablet into warm water before the cycle; once a day is enough. The tablets also work without the pod: dissolve one in a cup of water and soak for 5-10 minutes, then rinse.

Can I use tap water?

Yes, but distilled or filtered water helps prevent mineral buildup in the tank.

Will it damage my appliance?

No. Ultrasonic cleaning is non-abrasive, so it is safe on everything from metal to aligner plastic.
